Working Hanahan
From O'Hear Ave the van takes Rivers to Remount Rd and crosses under I-26 into Hanahan in about ten minutes, traffic at the Coliseum permitting. Yeamans Hall Rd and the old ranches around it are the near side. Tanner Plantation and Eagle Landing sit farther out toward the Goose Creek line, and Otranto fills the middle along Otranto Rd and the railroad. It is a compact town, so once the van is in Hanahan the stops are minutes apart, which is why we can often stack two or three Hanahan tickets in one afternoon and offer earlier windows than the drive time alone would suggest.
The housing splits cleanly. Around Yeamans Hall and Remount the houses are 1960s brick ranches with the laundry in a hall closet or a back utility room and a dryer vent that has been in the wall for fifty years. Tanner Plantation and Eagle Landing are 2000s subdivisions with builder appliance packages now past their fifteenth birthday, all failing on roughly the same schedule. Hanahan is on Charleston Water System, so inlet valves and ice makers stay fairly clean; the trouble here is age, humidity from the Goose Creek reservoir side, and summer heat in garages where the second refrigerator lives.

Electric dryer in a two-story off Tanner Ford Blvd, tumbling cold for a week. The homeowner had already replaced the vent hose. We meter the heating element open, check the high-limit thermostat, and find the vent through the roof half blocked with wet lint. Element replaced from the van, vent cleared, and a load timed before we leave.
Brick ranch on a shaded lot, top-freezer refrigerator frosting over in the freezer and warming in the fresh-food section every ten days. Classic defrost failure. We test the heater and the defrost thermostat in the evaporator, replace what reads open, and leave the owner with the write-up and the warranty.
Top-load washer fills, agitates, then sits full and silent. The lid lock reads good on the meter; the drain pump does not. We pull the pump, find a sock wrapped around the impeller and a cracked housing, replace the pump, and run a drain-and-spin with the owner watching the standpipe.
Stainless dishwasher that runs a full cycle and leaves the dishes cold and grey. The heating element checks fine; the thermistor is telling the board the water is already hot. New sensor, full cycle to a proper final rinse, written warranty on the counter.

How soon can you come out to Hanahan?
Hanahan is ten minutes from the shop, so a refrigerator that has stopped cooling gets a same-day window whenever one is open. Washers, dryers, ranges, dishwashers and ice makers are booked the same week and frequently the next business day. Saturday morning windows are available for Hanahan as well.
Is there any travel charge for Hanahan?
No. Hanahan sits well inside our 35-minute service area and the drive is one of the shortest on the sheet. The $99 diagnostic is the only thing you pay if you decline the repair, and when you approve, that $99 is already part of the written price. Booking online takes up to $20 off the repair.
Do you repair the appliances in Tanner Plantation and Eagle Landing builder packages?
Yes. Those houses were mostly fitted with Whirlpool, GE, Frigidaire and Samsung packages between 2003 and 2012, and we carry the common failure parts for all four brands on the van. Elements, valves, pumps, thermostats and igniters for those lines are stocked so the repair usually closes the first visit.
Can you schedule around a Joint Base Charleston shift?
